TECH uses a whole host of ways to communicate including IM, meetings, email, face to face, food gatherings, daily scrums (a.k.a. stand-ups) and yes the telephone. We encourage the use of Slack (with an invitation from the team) for internal messaging for its strengths in collaboration. Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone or drop by when other forms of communication breakdown.

Mobile device usage on project sites can create a safety hazard and slow work down for our customers. Because of this, usage is limited to Construction Managers, Site Superintendents, Foremen and Management visiting our project sites. Please leave your mobile device in our designated coffee room or trailer and feel free to check your device during coffee and lunch breaks. In some cases, your supervisor may ask you to carry your device in order to help with a task for a specific time frame (i.e. wire-pulling for the day), please remember that this is not an invitation to continue to carry your device on the project sites continuously.
